ST.JOHN’S PRESENTS 2009 VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR AWARD

Pam Holt, St. John’s Trauma Injury Prevention Coordinator, received the Volunteer of the Year award at the St. John’s Mercy Service Awards banquet held earlier this month. She was nominated for her continued support of St. John’s Foundation for Community Health.

Pam has been a Sunshine Run committee member and serves as a chair for the Wellness Village and management of Sunshine Run events. On race day, Pam assists participants with lost children, questions, suggestions, complaints and is always available to help coordinate last minute details for the event. She also provided direction and support for the development of the St. John’s/Kohl’s Injury Prevention program, assisting the Foundation with preparing the annual grant application.

"Pam has been a tremendous asset to St. John's Foundation for the past three years”, said Jennifer Battagler, Philanthropy Director for St. John’s Foundation for Community Health.  “Her expertise and leadership in trauma prevention and education has guided the injury prevention program enhancements made possible by funding through the Kohl's Cares for Kids grant, which is a partnership with Kohl's Department Stores."
