Congressman Roy Blunt praises St. John's for health care leadership

U.S. Congressman Roy Blunt visited St. John’s today to learn more about the successful implementation of St. Johns’ new electronic health record. Dr. Rick Williams, family practice physician from St. John’s Clinic – Ozark and Dr. John Lorette, emergency medicine physician, demonstrated how electronic health records can better coordinate a patient’s medical history.

Blunt praised St. John’s for being a health care leader and encouraged further development of electronic health record technology, particularly solutions that can be shared between hospitals and providers throughout the country.

Kim Day, St. John’s Health System president / CEO said that St. John’s has already taken the next step of working with other health care organizations to share the technology and that the health system’s commitment to implementing a robust and sophisticated electronic health record will increase patient safety and quality.
